Timmons Group’s Parcel LoGIStics Software Implemented by Nelson County, VA

Richmond, VA – November 13, 2007 –Timmons Group, a leader in GIS services and applications, announced today the successful implementation of Parcel LoGIStics in Nelson County, Va. Parcel LoGIStics, an extension created by Timmons Group, provides a complete set of parcel mapping creation and maintenance tools.

“The workflow tools provided by the Parcel LoGIStics product allow us to streamline our parcel maintenance process,” said Susan Rorrer, GIS Coordinator for the County. “We are particularly impressed with the incorporation of ESRI’s ArcGIS 9.2 COGO functionality into an easy to use, spreadsheet-like environment. This feature is a time-saving element that will contribute significantly to our parcel maintenance efficiency and will aid in improving the overall accuracy of the County’s parcel maps.”

“During the implementation process, workflows were easily customized to replicate the desired business processes of the County. Staff members were trained and using the product in a production environment very quickly,” said Amy Walters, Project Manager for Timmons Group.

Nelson County’s Parcel Logistics implementation includes a direct link to the County’s Manatron ProVal assessment software. The County’s future plans also include the implementation of iParcel Logistics, Timmons Group’s GIS web application for local government.
